The counseling theories I use are grounded in Adlerian approaches, with a strong emphasis on understanding the whole person and fostering growth. I bring over 12 years of experience working with individuals across various life stages and mental health challenges. My background includes extensive work with trauma using EMDR, as well as supporting clients managing mood disorders.

I am committed to providing compassionate, personalized care, whether you prefer the comfort of in-office sessions or the flexibility of telehealth. For couples, I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Gottman Method Couples Therapy, developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), rooted in attachment theory by Dr. Sue Johnson. These proven methods help couples build trust, strengthen connection, and work through challenges together.

moved to Boise in 1994 from Lander, Wyoming, where I was raised in the beautiful Wind River Mountains. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Boise State University in 2009, followed by a Master’s degree in Counseling in 2013. My journey in mental health started right after I graduated from BSU, and I used my background in education as a basis for further studies in Psychology. I started out as a supervisor at the Idaho Suicide and Crisis Hotline. There, I had the privilege of supporting volunteers as they navigated crisis calls-an experience that affirmed my passion for crisis work and supporting people in their most vulnerable moments.

Over the past 12 years, I have worked in both private practice and community settings, and 2022, I opened my practice. My therapeutic approach is grounded in science-based techniques such as EMDR, Adlerian Studies, and applied with compassion, skill, and insight gained through both education and lived experience. I focus on helping clients address core issues that those facing life’s most difficult challenges encounter.

I am deeply committed to serving the community and have a deep appreciation for its people and culture. My practice is inclusive and welcoming to individuals of all backgrounds, including those from diverse ethnicities, sexual orientations, and spiritual beliefs. Above all, I strive to create a space where every client feels respected, heard, and supported.
